WE GROUP / PLAYA DEL CARMEN
Beachside vows. Time together. A wedding that feels like you.
WE Group plans destination weddings in Playa del Carmen for English-speaking couples traveling from the United States, Canada and beyond. We connect venue selection, accommodation options, guest transportation and event operations so the celebration works as beautifully as it looks.
Whether you imagine a hotel-centered weekend or a wedding with several locations, we help you compare the decisions that matter before you commit.
Playa del Carmen combines beaches with a city setting. Quinta Avenida brings restaurants, shops and entertainment into the destination experience, and accommodation ranges from boutique hotels to all-inclusive resorts. That variety can be attractive when guests want independent time outside the wedding events.
But a Playa del Carmen mailing address does not mean every hotel is within walking distance of the center. Before choosing accommodation, check the actual route to your wedding venue, the hotel access point and the activities your group wants to enjoy.
Playa del Carmen is part of the Riviera Maya. Choose our Riviera Maya planning page when your shortlist extends beyond the city and nearby areas.
A beach-and-town experience. Prioritize a location that supports both your event and your guests’ independent plans. Check walking conditions, evening pickups and access for guests with mobility needs rather than relying on distance alone.
A stay-together resort celebration. Keep the wedding and accommodation in one property. Compare room categories, family or adults-only policies, private-event inclusions and attendance rules for guests staying elsewhere.
A separate venue and hotel. Choose the celebration setting independently from accommodation. Add a deliberate shuttle plan, arrival guidance, return departures and a named transport contact. Savings on one line of the budget should not hide extra costs on another.
WE Group can coordinate the venue shortlist, accommodation options for the couple and guests, transportation when needed, service providers, production and the wedding-day schedule. Support through the day after the wedding can be included in the agreed plan.
We begin with the decisions that shape everything else: your dates, guest count, accommodation preferences, wedding budget and priorities. From there, we help connect logistics with the creative services you select, such as photography, video, music, lighting, beauty and photo booth entertainment.
Your written proposal defines inclusions and responsibilities. Venue approval, hotel terms and supplier availability are confirmed separately; we do not present every possible service as automatically included.
Explore full-service planning, accommodation and room-block planning and guest transportation.
Ask for the ceremony and reception locations by name, a seated floor plan, the dance-floor area and the weather backup. Confirm event-end times, sound restrictions, supplier access and what happens when attendance changes.
For a mixed-age group, compare room occupancy, child policies and accessible routes. For a city-centered weekend, define which gatherings are hosted and which are optional. For a beach ceremony, discuss footwear, shade, sound and the route from the hotel room to the seating.
One example to research: Mahekal Beach Resort publishes beach, garden and lounge options on its official wedding page. It is an example of the destination’s venue variety, not a claim of a WE Group partnership or guaranteed availability. Our venue-selection guide helps you evaluate options on the same criteria.
Playa del Carmen is a city within the Riviera Maya. Use the city name when comparing specific hotels and event locations; use the regional name when considering a wider coastal shortlist.
That can be considered, but it depends on the wedding venue’s admission policies. Check nonresident guest access, any passes or charges, pickup locations and return transportation before sharing hotel recommendations.
Our recommendation is to confirm the wedding date and hotel location first, then compare airport and transfer options. A convenient airfare is not necessarily the most convenient door-to-door journey.
Yes. Share your dates, estimated guest count, budget priorities and whether a venue is already booked. We can discuss an English-language planning process and the local coordination your celebration requires.
